Learn About Demian’s Camp at Edge
In the spring of 2014 Demian Maia began to understand that his grappling was a key to his MMA success. For several years he had spent a large amount of energy focused on learning striking and becoming a striker. He realized the time spent striking could have been better spent perfecting what he was good at and honing in on how to get to his best positions, not stay in a position ( striking ) here he did not excel.
With this realization Maia began to seek technical wrestling training. He contacted Dave Esposito at Edge School of Wrestling. Dave with Demian’s head wrestling coach Kody Hamrah became an integral part of Demian’s coaching team. Together they refined his skill-set to utilize his standing game to find takedowns that fit perfectly with his Jiu Jitsu. That result has been 6 continuous UFC victories since Wrestling at Edge and a probably title shot.
