It's never too late to step onto the mat. No experience necessary — just the drive.
Edge's Adult Program is one of the most active and diverse adult wrestling communities in the nation. We welcome all skill levels — from total beginners lacing up wrestling shoes for the first time to former collegiate competitors looking to stay sharp and compete in masters tournaments.
Our adult classes combine technique drilling, positional sparring, and live wrestling in a supportive, ego-free environment. Wrestling is one of the most complete workouts available — it builds cardiovascular endurance, functional strength, flexibility, and mental toughness simultaneously.
With that in mind our adult program is designed for adult professionals who need to show up to the office the next morning without feeling broken and beat down. We focus on drilling and situational live wrestling that will challenge you physically and mentally, but we don't push you to the point of injury. You'll get a great workout and still be able to perform in your everyday life.
Adults interested in wrestling for fitness, self-defense foundation, MMA supplement, or pure competitive wrestling are all welcome. Many of our members train alongside other adults who compete in masters-level events.
In addition to structured classes, we offer open mat sessions several times per week where members can drill specific techniques, work with partners of their choosing, and review footage. Open mat is available to all active program members.

Yes — that's a core design principle of the program. We focus on drilling and situational live wrestling that challenges you physically and mentally without pushing you to the point of injury. You'll get a great workout and still make your morning meeting.
No. Competition is completely optional. Many members train purely for fitness and skill development, while others prepare for masters-level tournaments with coach support.
Athletic clothes and a water bottle are all you need to start. We have shoes you can borrow on your first day. Purchasing wrestling shoes and a mouthgaurd are recommended once you decide to stick with it, and we can point you to the right gear.
